The Blackmagic Video Assist 5 3G is a portable monitor, a professional recording device, and a fantastic camera viewfinder solution! This new monitor features several innovations, such as a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution screen with 300 cd/m² brightness, improved focus assist functions, and integrated 3D LUTs. The Video Assist 5 3G supports video formats up to 1080p60 resolution. The new design also includes L-series batteries for extended runtime.

The Video Assist 5 3G records to SDXC/SDHC memory cards using a single UHS-I SD card slot. Use the USB Type-C port to configure and update the monitor settings. Video recording is done using industry-standard Apple ProRes (HQ, 422, LT, or Proxy) and Avid DNxHD codecs.

The monitor's touchscreen interface allows you to adjust settings and access various functions such as a histogram, waveform, vectorscope, and many other tools. A light on top of the monitor indicates when it is powered on and recording. You can also choose from 11 languages for easier use of on-screen displays and menu options.
